Cenix BioScience awarded major R&D grant for further development of its in vivo RNAi platform.
Dresden (Germany), December 13, 2010 - Cenix BioScience GmbH today announced that it has secured a major research and development grant
from the German state of Saxony, under a program administered by the Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB). The 2-year grant totaling over 1.1 Mio Euro
will support a project entitled "DARE™ delivery technology development".
For Cenix, this funding will help accelerate the internal build-up of new capabilities focusing on in vivo RNAi
experimentation combining siRNA technology with novel delivery solutions including its own proprietary DARE™ technology.
The R&D work comes as part of a major growth and diversification initiative ongoing since early 2008 to broaden the company's range of activities
beyond the cell-based RNAi services that have established Cenix as a global leader in
RNAi screening over the past 11 years.
